Goal:              Participants will learn how to identify, assess and manage ethical dilemmas to protect clients from

                        exploitation and themselves from investigations and lawsuits.

 

Objectives:  1.  Participants will review professional codes of ethics and identify what they can do to protect clients

                                and themselves.

 

                        2.  Participants will learn how to manage their own behavior with clients within the constraints of ethical

                             principles and guidelines.

 

                        3.  Participants will learn how to assess the potential for exploitation by knowing the rules which govern

                             common situations which can become ethical dilemmas.

 

                        4.  Participants will learn how to make informed decision about professional conduct by utilizing one of

                             two decision making models.

Author:          Bill Malone, MSW, LISW-S is owner of Malone Counseling and Consulting Services LLC. Bill has 28 years

                        of social work experience.  He has been a professional workshop presenter for 20 years. He has

                        presented workshops on clinical supervision, ethics, grief/loss and  working with toxic co-workers, just to

                        mention a few. His clinical orientation is cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused and problem solving

                        therapy. Mr. Malone works with children, adolescents, couples and families. He provides practical

                        information that his workshop participants can utilize right away.
