I tried to make a purchase on the website, but, when I put in my credit card number I got an "error" message. I tried it a couple of times with the same result. How can I complete my registration?
This is usually a technical glitch between your browser and the website. The site has difficulty interacting with certain browsers, especially Firefox and older versions of Internet Explorer. Your credit card was probably billed. DO NOT put your credit card data in again. Contact us by email or at (513) 271-3923, and we can complete your registration, and void or refund an extra charge.
I tried to use the 3 Free Home Study CE hours that you offer, but the site keeps trying to bill me. How can I use the 3 Free CE hours?
The way the website is designed, you have to use the 3 Free CE hours for a 3 CE hour Home Study or less. When you select a home study and click on "Get Started" you should see, in the middle of your screen in yellow, a box which says you have the CE hours available. At the bottom of that box is a sentence which asks if you would like to use the CE hours to register for the home study. Click on that sentence and you are instantly registered. If you want to use the 3 Free CE hours for a home study which is more than 3 CE hours then you must purchase the extra CE hour(s) first. You can do that by clicking on "Buy CE Hours". Then, when you select a home study, and click on "Get Started", you will see the necessary CE hours in that box in the middle of your screen in yellow.
How do I access the text of a home study once I have purchased it?
If you purchase a home study the text is instantly available to you. If you log off and return to the site later, log on with your username and password, then click on "My Account" on the upper right, and, from the drop down menu, on "My Home Studies". The links for the text and practice test are right below the name of the home study.
Can I take a practice test more than once in order to pass it?
Yes, you can take a test as many times as you need to in order to pass it.
If I make a bulk purchase of CE hours, is there a time limit on how long I can take to use those hours?
You can take a long as you wish to use the CE hours you have purchased.
For each home study, is there a difference between the practice test and the real test?
No, the tests are the same thing. The practice test enables you to answer the questions as you go through the home study, then plug in the answers when you take the real test.
I’ve completed a home study, taken the test, been told I passed, and filled out an evaluation, but now I can’t download a CE certificate. How can I download a CE certificate?
This problem usually occurs because you have not answered every question on the evaluation form. To check this out log onto the site, click on "My Account", then on "My Home Studies" and scroll through the post test again. You don’t have to answer the questions. You’ll see they are already answered. After you scroll through the post test you can access the evaluation form again. Make sure that every question is answered. If something was not answered, you should be able to download a CE certificate once you answer it.
I mistakenly registered for the same workshop or home study twice. How can I cancel the second registration?
Contact us by email or at (513) 271-3923, and we’ll administratively void the second registration, issue a refund, put bulk CE hours back into your account, and/or do whatever is necessary to resolve the problem.
I attended one of your live workshops, or completed a home study, but I’ve lost my CE certificate. How can I get a new CE certificate?
For any live workshop, or home study, that you attended or completed since the site was fully functional in January 2014, you can log onto your account and download a new CE certificate. To do this log on with your username and password, click on "My Account" on the upper right, then on "My Certificates" from the drop down menu. It should be right there for you to download.
I’ve forgotten my username and password, and the new ones that the site generated won’t allow me to log on. How can I retrieve my username and password?
Contact us by email or at (513) 271-3923, and we can administratively change your username and/or password. Your username is always your email address. Your password is something you uniquely created and we do not have access to it for security reasons, but we can administratively edit the information.
I have a new email address, or I want to change my password. How can I do that?
Log onto the site with your current username and password, click on "My Account" on the upper right, then on "edit". You can then change them to whatever you would like.
I can’t remember if I have any CE hours left on the bulk purchase I previously made, or I need a receipt. Where can I find out if I have CE hours left in my account and/or download a receipt?
Log onto the site with your username and password and click on "My Account" on the upper right to see the status of your CE hours. For a receipt of any purchase you made with a credit card while on the site, click on "Invoices and Receipts". If you sent us a check and need a receipt, contact us by email or (513) 271-3923.
I’m from Kentucky and you say on your site that you apply yearly for approval by the Kentucky boards of Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Alcohol & Drug Counselors. How can I determine if your home studies are approved by my Kentucky board?
We do apply yearly, in October/November, with the Kentucky boards. You can determine if a home study is approved by clicking on "Home Studies", then "All Home Studies", and selecting your state and profession. When you do that the site automatically tells you how many CE hours each home study is approved for. If your board has not approved a specific home study the site will tell you that "this home study is not available based on your selections".
