Karla Tolbert. Ph.D., LPCC-S, is a licensed professional clinical counselor licensed in Ohio. She is currently the Clinical Director at Living Hope Counseling Services in Cincinnati Ohio.
Dr. Tolbert’s counseling experience includes community mental health, college, and private practice with a focus on a variety of mental health issues such as: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, codependency, race and ethnicity, intimate partner relationships, family conflict, parental training, self-esteem, and stress work with adults, couples, and adolescents. She trains and supervises counseling students.
Dr. Tolbert received her PhD in Psychology from Northcentral University in San Diego, CA. She is passionate about the subject of mindfulness and conducted her dissertation research on mindfulness practices and the impact on counselor trainees. She received her master’s degree in counseling from Cincinnati Christian University and her undergraduate degree in History from the University of Cincinnati. She has a background in teaching and secondary education.
Since 1984 Heisel and Associates has provided live and online courses to social workers, counselors, chemical dependency counselors, psychologists, marriage & family therapists, rehabilitation counselors, employee assistance counselors, and school counselors.
