Stan Heck, M.S.W., Psy.D., brings over 30 years of experience as a clinical social worker and a professional psychologist to his home studies on ethics and the treatment of children, adults, individuals and families. He obtained his M.S.W. at the University of Washington in Seattle and his Psy.D. at Wright State University in Dayton. He has worked in a variety of agencies and hospitals (child and adult protective services, community mental health, VA). He has provided residential treatment to juvenile delinquents and emotionally disturbed teens. For the past three decades, he has had a private practice working with children, adults, couples and families. He employs real life experiences to demonstrate how clients can heal from trauma, how they can learn to cope with life's stresses, with anxiety, depression or anger. He offers suggestions for dealing with process obstacles as well as how to implement cutting edge treatments. Dr. Heck is also an ethics investigator for the Kentucky Board of Examiners in Psychology.
Since 1984 Heisel and Associates has provided live and home study workshops to social workers, counselors, chemical dependency counselors, psychologists, marriage & family therapists, rehabilitation counselors, employee assistance counselors, and school counselors.
